At last it’s here – finally the NEW Domino's Chicken Tikka pizza has arrived, with our ‘new’ Tikka Masala sauce, topped with Tandoori Chicken, Onions, Green Peppers and Tomatoes and served with our new Mango Dip– its guaranteed to spice up your Tea time!!
It's no joke when people say the future of our planet is at risk. But I believe that if we all take responsibility for our actions we at least have a chance of prolonging our stay here on Earth before sea levels rise and Windle Island literally lives up to its name!
So it was with great pleasure that we were able to take our place among the elite of St Helens' businesses as holders of a Keep Britain Tidy Business Award, at the Annual Ceremony at the Park Hotel on July 15th 2009.
Recipients included national brands Tesco, Morrisions, ASDA, The Co-op, Curry's and Boots, along with smaller concerns like The Crispy Cod, The Haydock Supper Bar, Direct Fire & Safety and Frank Rogers Builders.
The awards are made to businesses in recognition of their commitment to efficient waste management by actively reducing, re-using and recycling their waste.
At Domino's, because we are a home-delivery business, we generate very little waste and what we do is separated out before being recycled where possible. Domino's suppliers are actively encouraged to reduce packaging, and in store all of our pots, pans and utensils are re-used (you should see the amount of washing up we have to do each night!)
As this was our first involvement with the Awards Scheme we were very proud to attain the Silver Level, however we are already working towards Gold by becoming more actively involved in Community Initiatives to Keep Britain Tidy!
Well the headline is designed to grab your attention and I hope it did!
If you are in St Helens or Huyton, Merseyside and involved with a local school, charity, volounteer organisation or other worthy cause then we have a limited number of free pizza vouchers to give away as Prizes at any forthcoming events you may have planned.
These are local vouchers and are only redeemable at St Helens or Huyton Domino's Pizza, but will have a value of up to £14.49 so can be redeemed against any large pizza on a regular base. There are the usual Terms & Conditions of Use but nothing too stringent.
So get to the point, I hear you ask, how do I get hold of one of these vouchers?.
Just send me an email to sthelensdominos@gmail.com or huytondominos@gmail.com explaining a little bit of information about your organisation, a contact phone number and a postal address and I will get one out to you as soon as possible.

Stephen Mulhearn, the cheeky Presenter of "Britain's Got More Talent" was probably counting his blessings after being allocated a Dressing Room right next door to the Domino's Pizza VIP Area at the TV studios in London where the Live Finals of Britain's Got Talent are being shot.
At the recent Domino's Pizza Awards Banquet held at The Liverpool Echo Arena my GLW (Good Lady Wife) Bernie won the boxing competition to find who could throw the hardest punch! (nuff said)
Fighting for the honour of St Helens and Huyton Domino's Pizza, she romped home to victory in the "Girls" category and won a pair of pink boxing gloves signed by the special guest and Former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Mr Frank Bruno (see below).
She is pictured here being presented with her prize by a very nervous looking Simon Wallace fro MJW Consulting who sponsored the event.
We support Real Radio North-West and their Bring a Pound to Work Day Appeal which this year is supporting Alder Hey Children's Hospital and The New Children's Hospital Appeal Manchester. 
One of the events on Thurday 30th April was a Charity Auction so Bernie donated the gloves to this very worthy cause to help raise even more money. We are pleased to say that the winning bis was £65

Our good friend Jo from Express Cars (01744 454 453) on Duke St has had her head shaved to raise much-needed funds for Willowbrook Hospice which cares for terminally-ill people in St Helens & Knowsley.
Jo hopes to raise over £300 in donations from friends, family and local businesses.
